Receptionist – Private Healthcare Clinic
Salary: £30-£35,000
Location: Central London
Job Type: Full-Time
A newly established private primary healthcare clinic in the Mayfair area is seeking an experienced and highly organised Receptionist to join its Front of House team. This modern, high-profile clinic supports a range of medical specialties including General Practice, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, and Psychology. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless patient journeys and supporting a team of leading clinicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for patients, delivering a warm, professional, and efficient service at all times.
- Manage clinical diaries, schedule appointments, and coordinate patient visits to ensure smooth and timely patient flow.
- Prepare and send letters, reports, and other forms of medical correspondence with accuracy and professionalism.
- Maintain confidential and well-organised patient records.
- Support and refine administrative processes to help the clinic operate smoothly and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians and administrative colleagues to uphold high standards of patient care.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Front of House or medical administrative role, ideally within private healthcare or another patient-facing environment.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to remain composed and effective under pressure.
- A warm and confident communication style, comfortable interacting with patients, clinicians, and external partners.
- Good understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in diary management, record keeping, and written communication.
- Proficient in digital systems including Microsoft Office; experience with healthcare software (e.g., Semble or similar) is advantageous.
- A genuine commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
