Strategic Governance & Scrutiny Lead (Deputy Head)

GMCA in Manchester is seeking a Statutory Scrutiny Officer & Deputy Head of Governance & Scrutiny for a fixed-term role until February 2028. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence public governance and work closely with the Mayor and senior leadership.

The ideal candidate will have experience in governance or scrutiny, strong political awareness, and excellent skills in drafting and presenting. You will shape the scrutiny function, support democratic processes, and help develop innovative approaches in response to evolving governance needs.
