We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Manager – Soil Treatment to lead our clients business growth across the Yorkshire and North East region. This role is central to expanding their soil treatment capability, strengthening partnerships, and maximising revenues across hazardous and non-hazardous soil streams.

You will work closely with Commercial, Operations, and Technical teams, acting as the key link between clients, project partners, and site operations.
The Role
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering a regional sales strategy, managing enquiries and quotations, and identifying value-added opportunities for clients. This is a hands-on role combining strategic planning, client engagement, and technical collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain effective, trusted working relationships with project partners
* Develop and deliver a business plan and sales strategy for the Yorkshire / North East market in collaboration with the Commercial Manager
* Ensure attainment of company sales targets while maintaining profitability
* Update and maintain all quotations and sales activity on the STC sales database
* Undertake client visits for sales meetings, soil sampling, and site assessments
* Increase market intelligence, monitoring competitor activity and identifying opportunities to broker uncontaminated and non-hazardous soils, particularly for contracting sector clients
* Work with the internal waste assessment and reporting team to support the classification and assessment of customer soils
Personal Attributes & Qualifications
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of the soils market within Yorkshire and the North East
* Proven ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple opportunities effectively
* Comfortable working independently while also contributing as part of a wider team
* Strong commitment to compliance, customer service, and professional standards
* Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent customer-facing xwzovoh and relationship-building skills
* Intelligent, well-rounded, and commercially aware
* Approachable, collaborative, and easy to work with
* Highly organised with strong administrative skills and attention to detail
