The position is evening based with schedules perfect for supplementing your work experience.
You will provide high-quality teaching on our short courses programme for students, staff, and the public.
Classes are taught in the evenings after 6 pm, both in person and online.
Usually, classes run over three terms of ten weeks each, starting in October, January and April.
We are looking for individuals who are experienced in teaching one of the following languages: Dutch Swedish Gujarati Hindi Panjabi The exact timetable is dependent on our upcoming enrolment numbers, which will be confirmed nearer the term start.
It is expected that work will be aligned to three terms starting in October, January and April, running for 10 weeks each term.
If successful, you will be agreeing to deliver a total of 15 hours of teaching, 1.5 hours per week over 10 weeks.
Key Responsibilities will include: Prepare and deliver in-person and/or online classes for learners on our short courses programme on weekday evenings.
Create general and week-by-week syllabi for the relevant language and level.
Maintain the digital learning platform for students.
Liaise with the relevant Team Leader, Deputy Team Leader, and Professional Services Team to ensure timely communication and smooth delivery of classes.
Attend team meetings and professional development sessions as required. xwzovoh
Essential criteria Experience in teaching language classes at various levels for a range of different learners Native level fluency in one of the following languages Dutch, Swedish, Gujarati, Hindi or Panjabi Experience in creating engaging teaching materials, including digital materials Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills Skills in using digital platforms and MS Office software Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Teaching qualification or degree in a relevant subject area
