Job Description:
Wipers Youth CIC is award winning youth justice social enterprise which specialises in working with
vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. Our mission is to engage and empower young people, by
supporting them to discover their own special contributions and realise their full potential. We require a passionate, skilled and experienced Group Work facilitator to deliver various group work sessions
centered around empowerment and leadership, business & life skills and social action. This role
involves working with young people across Greater London that may be involved in the criminal justice
system.
• Delivering group work sessions and workshops
• Participate in debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitator/s after sessions have ended
• Providing written session reports and updates
• Complete AQA submissions for all accredited courses
• Take the lead on graduation events for individuals who complete programmes.
• Leading and supporting our Youth Ambassadors as part of our Youth Advisory Board (YAB)
• Tailor specific workshops around the needs of each group, to account for various learning
styles and neurodiversity’s
• Adhere to Wipers guidelines and policies including confidentiality, child protection & equal
opportunities.
Person Specification
Successful candidates will have:
• Rich experience in working with groups and adeptly managing group dynamics, including
conflict or challenging behaviour.
• An understanding of evidence-based interventions in a group work setting.
• Excellent communication skills, good organisational and administration skills with proficiency in
Microsoft PowerPoint.
• A working understanding of safeguarding children and young people and how to maintain
appropriate professional boundaries
• A working understanding of equality and diversity with the ability to challenge discriminatory
behaviour.
• While advantageous, a qualification in counselling, group-work, or equivalent is not essential;
your unique experiences and commitment matter most to us.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring
Service (DBS) check prior to employment.
