We are working in partnership with a leading organisation delivering some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile programmes within the nuclear and regulated infrastructure sectors. They are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to play a key role in driving project performance across major, long-term initiatives.

The Role

As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining robust project schedules across the full lifecycle. You will work closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery against time, cost, and scope objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed, integrated project schedules from initiation through to completion
  • Monitor progress, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions
  • Support Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Manage schedule changes in accordance with NEC4 contractual requirements
  • Produce clear and concise programme reports for internal and external stakeholders


Essential Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in project planning within engineering, nuclear, or other highly regulated industries
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Proven track record delivering complex, high-value projects across the full project lifecycle
  • Experience working with NEC4 contracts and commercial scheduling practices
  • Ability to produce accurate and insightful monthly programme updates


Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in engineering, project management, xwzovoh or a related discipline (desirable)
  • Professional certifications in planning or project controls (advantageous)


Additional Requirements

  • Must be eligible for UK Security Vetting (UKSV) clearance
