SEND Teaching Assistant

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils with additional needs, supporting their academic progress as well as their social and emotional development within a nurturing school environment. The Role: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs Support children with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and speech & language difficulties Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities Help manage behaviour and support emotional regulation Work closely with the SENCO and external professionalsThe School Offers: A welcoming and inclusive school community Strong SEN provision with experienced staff support Opportunities for ongoing training and development A well-resourced and structured learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate: Previous experience supporting children with SEN Patient, calm, and nurturing approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needsPay: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience) This is a rewarding opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in a child's school experience.
