- PCV Mechanic Location: Nottingham Salary: £21.39 per hour Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking PCV Mechanic on behalf of one of clients.
Applications from HGV Mechanics will also be given due consideration.
Hours of Work: 37 hours a week (with 30 minutes unpaid meal break).
Sunday to Saturday, 5 from 7; varying hours on a rotating shift pattern (Earlies – 05:30 to 13:30, Lates (13:00 to 21:00).
Duties & Responsibilities: To maintain, inspect, diagnose, repair and test mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
To carry out any repairs as necessary to ensure safe and roadworthy vehicles to a high standard of reliability and quality.
Carry out any reasonable maintenance activities.
Adhere to health & safety standards.
Skills & Qualifications: Have a strong work ethic and understand the need to be reliable and flexible.
Full UK driving licence.
PCV driving licence is desired however training may be considered for the right candidate.
Experience of Cummins & Scania drivetrain & electrical systems.
Experience of modern electrical systems & OEM diagnostic systems. xwzovoh
At least 3 years post qualifying experience ideally in a main dealer or PSV workshop.
Holder of a recognised apprenticeship qualification (City and Guilds or NVQ level 3).
