Working Supervisor – Social Housing Location: Cambridge & Surrounding Areas Pay Rate: £22.00 – £25.00 per hour  Benefits: Company Van & Fuel Card Supplied Fortus recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Working Supervisor on a temp to perm basis paying £22 to £25 per hour to join a well-established social housing contractor covering Cambridge and surrounding areas. The role will focus primarily on disrepair, damp and mould projects within occupied and void residential properties. This is a hands-on supervisory position, ideal for someone with strong trade knowledge who can lead by example while ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities: Supervising operatives and subcontractors on disrepair and damp & mould works Carrying out hands-on duties where required Managing day-to-day site operations within social housing properties Ensuring works are completed within agreed timescales and company standards Conducting site inspections and quality checks Liaising with tenants, clients, and management teams professionally Ordering materials and managing site resources effectively Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Reporting progress updates and resolving on-site issues Requirements: Previous experience working within social housing maintenance or refurbishment Strong background in disrepair and damp & mould works Experience supervising teams and managing workloads Good all-round trade knowledge (multi-trade background preferred) Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs Strong communication and organisational skills Full UK driving licence essential What We Offer: Competitive hourly rate of £22.00 – £25.00 per hour Company van and fuel card provided Ongoing, long-term work Supportive management team Opportunities for progression within a growing contractor If you are an experienced Working Supervisor looking for a long-term opportunity within the social housing sector, we would like to hear from you and contact George Stacey at Fortus Recruitment
