Interim Specialist Mental Health Pharmacist

We are currently supporting an NHS Trust in the West Midlands to recruit an experienced Band 8a Specialist Mental Health Pharmacist for an urgent interim requirement. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established clinical team within a mental health setting, contributing to high-quality patient care while working in a supportive multidisciplinary environment. The contract is initially 12 weeks, with a strong possibility of extension based on service needs. Role Overview • Deliver specialist clinical pharmacy services within a mental health setting • Participate in ward-based clinical activities, including medicines optimisation and patient review • Support dispensary services and provide professional oversight to ACT technicians • Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based use of medicines • Occasional cross-site support may be required within the Trust Working Pattern • Monday to Friday • Full-time or part-time considered • No on-call or out-of-hours commitments Essential Requirements Please note: candidates without the below experience will not be considered • Registered Pharmacist (GPhC) • Proven NHS hospital experience • Extensive Mental Health Pharmacy experience (essential) • Strong clinical ward-based experience • Ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams What’s on Offer • Competitive pay at Band 8a NHS agency capped rates • Flexible working options (FT/PT) • Opportunity to gain experience within a reputable NHS Trust • Potential for contract extension About Us We are a specialist healthcare recruitment agency working in partnership with NHS organisations across the UK, connecting experienced professionals with high- quality interim and permanent opportunities.
