Commercial Manager (Major Projects) Location: Central London Major Projects – Commercial Team V7 is seeking a Commercial Manager (Major Projects) on behalf of a leading client within the passive fire industry. Our client is looking for an experienced and commercially astute Commercial Manager (Major Projects) to join their Major Projects division in Central London. This is a pivotal role, responsible for managing opportunities through the sales process and across the full project lifecycle -maximising the commercial success of high-value projects. Experience with a Tier One contractor is highly desirable, and candidates must have proven expertise in passive fire protection . The Major Projects Commercial Team works on large-scale projects, often worth multi millions, engaging with both public and private stakeholders. The team ensures projects are delivered efficiently, meeting all legal, contractual, and quality standards. Whether residential, commercial, or infrastructure-based, clients depend on them to deliver exceptional outcomes. Lead the commercial management of major projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring alignment with best practices and contractual obligations. Collaborate with the Delivery Team to ensure service excellence throughout all stages of a project. Review and improve operational processes to enhance project performance. Provide accurate and timely updates on project status and commercial performance. Identify, qualify, and pursue new commercial opportunities and client relationships. Prepare cost, sales, and margin analyses in line with company targets. Negotiate contract value, scope, and terms with a focus on risk mitigation. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Present commercial updates and recommendations in relevant forums. Manage risk assessments and tender settlements, ensuring best practice in terms and conditions. Represent the company at industry events and contribute to market strategy. Support and mentor members of the Commercial Team and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace. Proven commercial management experience in major projects , ideally within the construction sector. Experience with a Tier One contractor is highly desirable . Strong background in passive fire protection and related industry standards. Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent. Strong commercial acumen, including strategic negotiation and pricing skills. Excellent project management skills, including planning, prioritisation, and risk management. Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for business growth. Strong financial skills, including budgeting, reporting, and margin analysis.
