Diesel Fitter

Diesel Fitter c.£60,000 pa Doncaster This is a new position with a growing business for a diesel fitter or mechanical maintenance engineer with extensive experience repairing and servicing diesel run plant and machinery. The diesel fitter is responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining a range of equipment in Doncaster and a number of other sites within a 50 mile radius. Sites vary in purpose and so the equipment can range from excavators, loaders, dozers and shovels to MHE, generators and compressors, drive systems, bearings… and all things diesel in between. You will diagnose faults, conduct emergency repairs and planned preventative maintenance across all sites. The ideal candidate will already be an experienced diesel fitter or a mechanical maintenance engineer with extensive experience working on diesel engines, construction plant or material processing machinery and a level 3 in a relevant qualification. This position will also require a full UK driving license. The benefits package for the diesel fitter includes: Salary: c.£60k depending on skills, abilities and experience. Vehicle: Company van with fuel card for work mileage. Travel pay: Hourly rate is paid at 30 miles from and within home. Overtime: x1.5 paid after 45hrs and Saturdays, x2 on Sundays.
