Technical Writer

Role: Technical Writer Location: Remote with ad hoc visits to Welwyn, UK and Basel, Switzerland Hours: Full-time Pay: £350 - £400 per day PAYE basic (excluding holiday pay) or £463.53 - £529.75 per day UMB/LTD Contract: Until the end of December 2026 - Outside IR35 An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Technical Writer to join one of our longstanding global pharmaceutical clients on a contract basis until the end of December 2026, outside IR35. This role will focus heavily on documenting SOPs, operational workflows and internal processes, supporting the transition to a scalable and centralised documentation framework. Benefits: Contract until end of December 2026 outside IR35 Remote working with occasional international collaboration Exposure to innovative AI and computational science projects Opportunity to support large-scale operational transformation initiatives The Requirements: Previous experience writing and maintaining SOPs and operational documentation Strong understanding of documentation governance and process management Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences or technical environments Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills Strong attention to detail and ability to simplify complex processes Experience working across multiple teams and managing competing priorities Familiarity with documentation systems, shared repositories or documentation-as-code practices advantageous The Role: Create, review and maintain SOPs and operational documentation Document workflows, policies and business processes across multiple functions Work closely with SMEs to gather and structure technical information Standardise documentation templates and formatting Ensure documentation is accurate, compliant and easy to follow Maintain and update central documentation repositories and policy hubs Support process improvement and governance initiatives Contribute to the development of a scalable "One Source of Truth" documentation framework If you're keen to join an exceptional team who can offer exposure to cutting-edge AI-driven healthcare projects and global collaboration, then please apply to this Technical Writer role below or call Chloe McCausland on (phone number removed) between 8:30am - 5:00pm
