SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Rugby, CV21 Pay Rate: £(Apply online only) per week Start Date: ASAP Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm Contract: Monday - Friday, long-term temp to perm. Long Term Futures are recruiting for a resilient and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and nurturing school in Rugby, Coventry. This role will involve providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils across Key Stage 2 with complex Autism (ASD) and SEMH needs. This position will involve working mostly outside of the classroom, supporting pupils who require a more personalised and structured approach to learning and emotional regulation. About the Role: Provide 1:1 support for pupils with complex ASD and SEMH needs Work primarily outside the classroom in a tailored learning environment Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement Deliver structured activities and interventions suited to individual needs Help pupils access learning in a calm, safe and supportive setting Build strong, consistent relationships to promote trust and progress Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to adapt strategiesIdeal Candidate Profile: Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience) Strong experience supporting pupils with ASD and SEMH Confident working with challenging behaviour and complex needs Calm, patient and resilient approach Ability to work independently and use initiative Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills Team Teach or behaviour training (desirable)Why Work with Long Term Futures?
