This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), or those returning to the profession who want to gain experience across different school environments while maintaining flexibility.
Position Details
Role: Secondary Supply Teacher
Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex and surrounding areas
Key Stages: KS3 - KS5
Start Date: Immediate and ongoing opportunities
Contract Type: Daily Supply, Short-Term, Long-Term, and Temp-to-Perm
Salary: £130 - £210 per day (dependent on experience and subject specialism)

About the Role
As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across KS3-KS5, ensuring students remain engaged and on track with their learning during teacher absences.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering pre-planned lessons or adapting materials as required
Teaching your subject specialism or providing general cover when needed
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Engaging students of varying abilities and maintaining a positive learning environment
Marking and providing feedback where required
Supporting students' academic progress and wellbeing
Following safeguarding procedures and school expectations at all times
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent
Experience teaching in UK secondary schools (KS3-KS5)
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt quickly to new school settings
A proactive and professional approachEssential Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UK
Two recent professional references
