Senior Social Worker - Children in Need

About the Role Shropshire is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Case Management Team on an initial 3‑month contract. This role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to support children and families at key stages of intervention. Location: Shropshire Contract: 3 months initially Working Pattern: Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office Pay Rate: £30.57 per hour (umbrella) Key Responsibilities Manage a complex caseload of children and families under Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Pre‑Proceedings (PLO) and court proceedings Undertake statutory home visits and direct work with children and families Attend and contribute to core group meetings, strategy discussions and multi‑agency forums Prepare high‑quality court reports and maintain accurate case records Work in line with statutory guidance, local policies and best practice standardsEssential Requirements Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration Significant experience working with CIN, CP, PLO and court work Strong assessment, report writing and case management skills Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a teamIf you thrive to make a difference and have 3 years Social worker experience and this is the role for you, then we would love to hear from you
