QS Assistant

We're recruiting for a QS Assistant to join the commercial team of a well-regarded business based in Richmond, North Yorkshire, delivering major infrastructure projects across the region. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive and keen to develop their career within commercial management and quantity surveying.

• Providing day-to-day support across the commercial function
• Assisting with valuations, applications and monitoring project costs
• Processing invoices, purchase orders and subcontractor paperwork
• Keeping project and commercial information accurate and up to date
• Working with operational teams to collect information and maintain internal trackers
• Helping with the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQs)
• Supporting project reporting and other commercial activities

• Previous QS or commercial administration experience, ideally within construction, infrastructure, utilities or a related sector
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and Microsoft Project
• A proactive and self-motivated approach
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team while also managing your own workload
• A genuine interest in developing a career within Quantity Surveying
• Previous experience xwzovoh within the water, utilities or civil engineering sectors would be particularly advantageous.

Permanent, full-time position
40 hours per week
Flexible start and finish times
Salary negotiable depending on experience
