Field Service Engineer – RF Networked Systems

Your Role
This is a varied customer-facing engineering role combining electrical installation, commissioning, servicing, fault finding and technical support. You will install, commission, service and calibrate Monika's cloud-based wireless monitoring systems across a varied range of refrigerated and heated equipment, including cabinets, serveries and cold rooms within commercial and retail environments.
The role also includes the installation and configuration of sensors, wireless transmitters, infrastructure devices and associated monitoring equipment, together with basic IP network configuration where required, often working alongside customer IT representatives. You will also carry out electrical installation work associated with monitoring equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and to Monika's engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Install and commission monitoring systems to company standards.
• Carry out electrical installation work associated with monitoring equipment.
• Install containment, sensors, probes, wireless transmitters and associated equipment.
• Run and terminate low-voltage cabling where required.
• Service, calibrate and maintain customer systems.
• Diagnose electrical, communication and system faults.
• Configure wireless infrastructure and basic IP network settings.
• Complete company documentation accurately and on time.
• Provide professional customer support and maintain excellent customer relationships.
Essential Skills & Experience
• City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
• Current ECS or CSCS Card
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Good electrical installation skills
• Strong fault-finding ability
• Good IT literacy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays
Desirable Skills & Experience
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Previous Field Service experience
• Experience commissioning electrical systems
• Knowledge of IP networking
• Experience with wireless communication systems
• Experience within temperature monitoring or related industries
Remuneration
Gross annual earnings of around £35k can be expected inclusive of overtime. Normal company benefits apply, including a company van, company pension, 23 days annual leave plus Birthday Day Off. A company laptop and mobile phone will also be provided
