£22.23 per hour + Night & Weekend Premiums | 4 On 4 Off | Permanent

Questech Recruitment are currently recruiting for 2 experienced HGV Technicians to join a well-established company based in Bridgwater, Somerset.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician looking for a permanent position, working on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles, including DAF and MAN.

Shift Pattern & Hours

*

4 nights on, 4 nights off.

*

11.5 hours paid per shift.

*

30-minute unpaid break.

Pay & Shift Premiums

Base rate: £22.23 per hour

On top of your basic hourly rate, the following premiums apply:

Night Shift Premium:

*

18:00 – 23:59: Additional £1.55 per hour.

*

00:00 – 06:00: Additional £3.10 per hour.

Weekend Premium:

*

An additional £1.55 per hour for every hour worked on Saturdays and Sundays.

All applicable premiums are paid on top of the basic hourly rate, offering excellent earning potential.

The Role

*

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a mixed fleet of HGVs.

*

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.

*

Work on a range of commercial vehicles, including DAF and MAN.

*

Conduct vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT.

*

Ensure all work is completed to DVSA standards.

*

Complete relevant job cards and maintenance records.

*

Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

The Ideal Candidate

*

Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician.

*

Experience working on DAF and MAN vehicles would be advantageous.

*

NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent is desirable.

*

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
