Geotechnical Engineer

Project Geotechnical Engineer Edinburgh First People Solutions is recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer to join one of the largest and most experienced multi-disciplinary consulting engineers in the UK. With a long history and strong network, they provide innovative and sustainable solutions for a range of complex projects in various sectors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a range of geotechnical projects spanning the energy, transportation, industrial, retail, residential and commercial sectors. You'll be contributing to a dynamic and forward-thinking team and playing a key role in their continued success. Job Prepare and check design calculations and specifications for geotechnical works such as pile design, slope stability assessment, bearing capacity, settlement, and earthworks Conduct feasibility studies and ground investigations from site for a wide range of schemes Assist in the delivery of the design of geotechnical elements of existing and future projects Support managers with business development Train and mentor junior staff What we're looking for Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or equivalent 3-5 years of experience working within a design engineering consultancy in the UK Working towards chartered status Knowledge of geotechnical principles and standards Experience of modelling software such as Holebase, Slide, Settle 3D, and Wallap Full UK driving licence What's in it for you?
