Lead Electrical Design Engineer

Lead Electrical Design Engineer 12 month contract £65-£75 per hour Outside IR35 Reading - Hybrid This role sits within a specialist engineering team responsible for developing electrical designs from early feasibility through to construction and handover support. It's a key technical position with ownership of design delivery and coordination across multiple stakeholders. Essential requirements: Experience in electrical engineering design within power, utilities or infrastructure environments Ability to produce and review electrical design documentation and calculations Good understanding of UK electrical standards and utility interface requirements Experience working with project teams, contractors and engineers Comfortable supporting projects through design, construction and delivery stages Desirable: Experience within substations, power distribution or HV environments Background in energy, utilities or large-scale industrial projects Exposure to site support and construction phases Familiarity with electrical design tools and software
