Occupational Therapist Location: Kensington and Chelsea (W10) Contract: Long-term/Permanent Salary: £38,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience) Start Date: ASAP Commutable From: Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham, Brent, Lambeth, Wandsworth The Opportunity: Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEMH school supporting pupils with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and associated SEND. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a highly therapeutic, relationships-first environment where therapy is embedded throughout the school day. You will work collaboratively with teachers, families, and external professionals to deliver impactful interventions that support pupils' emotional wellbeing, engagement, and long-term success. Your Key Responsibilities: * Deliver individual and group therapy sessions tailored to pupils' needs * Support pupils with SEMH needs, trauma, attachment difficulties, and associated SEND * Develop and implement therapy programmes aligned with EHCP targets * Conduct assessments and produce high-quality reports for families and local authorities * Provide in-class therapeutic support and contribute to a relationships-first learning environment * Liaise with CAMHS, social workers, families, and multidisciplinary professionals * Support transitions, reintegration programmes, and therapeutic interventions across the school * Deliver therapeutic training and guidance to teaching and support staff Requirements: * Degree-qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration * Experience working with children and young people in challenging or specialist settings * Strong understanding of SEMH, trauma, attachment, and child development * Experience supporting pupils with SEND and challenging behaviour * Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills * Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team * Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing Why Long Term Futures? * A dedicated consultant to support you throughout the recruitment process * Long-term/permanent opportunities within specialist SEMH provisions * Access to ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities * Opportunity to work within a highly therapeutic and supportive environment * A personalised approach focused on finding the right setting for your skills and experience What's Next? * Apply with your updated CV * Have an introductory call with our team * Get matched with the right specialist provision * Attend an interview and school visit * Start your new role with continued support from us Please submit your application via the application page.
