The core purpose of the role is to ensure that the development function of the company has the skills and resources to meet business needs.For this role you will be managing a team of 6 software developers, and you will be responsible for the delivery of software projects and product backlog.You will be responsible for ensuring that continuous improvement principles are used consistently throughout teams to deliver business benefits. Another core purpose is that effective cross-functional delivery occurs across the Technology team and with other departments.Key requirements for the role:Experience of leading a software development team in the delivery of cloud-based applications either as a Lead developer, Scrum Master or Development ManagerExtensive experience of Software Delivery, Software releases, Project ManagementKnowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures, and emerging techPractical knowledge and application of DevOps principlesAgile development, Scrum methodologies Understanding of development technologies e.g. JavaScript frameworks such as React, node, C#, .Net, AWS etc.This is an excellent opportunity for a Software Development Manager or Delivery Manager to step into a lead role and be responsible for the future success of the business.
