Engineering Technician

Mechanical Shift Engineering Technician 
Dundee | Monday to Friday, early and back shifts
 
We're recruiting a Shift Engineering Technician to join the maintenance team at a regulated manufacturing site in Dundee. This is a hands-on role with a strong mechanical bias, covering breakdown repairs and planned maintenance across production and packaging equipment.
 
Previous experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment is essential.
The role
Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and carry out repairs to get equipment back up and running.
Carry out planned preventive maintenance on conveyors, pumps, valves, motors and other production equipment.
Undertake some electrical fault-finding, including on motors and sensors.
Investigate recurring faults and help improve equipment reliability.
Keep accurate maintenance records and follow site GMP, engineering and health and safety procedures. What we're looking for
Hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
A relevant engineering qualification such as City & Guilds, ONC, OND or equivalent.
Experience with both reactive and planned maintenance.
Pneumatics experience would be an advantage. Working hours
Monday to Friday on alternating shifts, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, with occasional weekend overtime.
