About the role
English Path is a rapidly growing international language school delivering immersive English, French, and German learning experiences across the UK, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
We are currently seeking a Young Learner - Activity Leader. As an Activity Leader, your role is to engage and motivate young people to have the best experience possible while they are staying with us. Student wellbeing is our main priority, and you will be the first point of contact, making sure students feel safe, secure and happy at the camp.
About the Role:
As an Activity Leader, your role is to engage and motivate young people to have the best experience possible while they are staying with us.
You will have a strong support team around you, working with other Activity Leaders and Teachers under the supervision of the Activity Manager and the Centre Manager.
You will also be expected to support the activity programme development and to provide excellent
customer service to all stakeholders, including Group Leader, Coach Drivers, and kitchen staff! You
must be confident, friendly, and enthusiastic as you guide students on local and regional excursions
You will have a strong support team around you, working with other Activity Leaders and Teachers under the supervision of the Activity Manager and the Centre Manager.
Please Note: This role is based fully On-site, with a tentative start date of 28th June.
Key Responsibilities:
• To uphold safeguarding standards and ensure all students are well supervised and accounted for.
• To be a supportive and encouraging presence for our Young Learners.
• To be proactive and take initiative in leading activities and student participation.
• Leading groups of international students on activities and daytrips.
• To uphold the rules of the camp and ensure students follow set standards of behaviour.
• Assisting with airport transfers and student arrivals and departures.
• Residential tasks including room checks.
• Assisting with centre administration as directed.
• Prioritizing student welfare and acting in accordance with EP policies and risk assessments.
• To be enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated at all times – we will teach you the rest!
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Level of spoken and written English equivalent to CEFR level B2 or above.
• Interested in and able to organise activities.
• Highly adaptable and organized.
• Confidence in motivating and encouraging large groups of students.
• Outgoing and positive personality.
• Able to sustain long periods of physical activity.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Right to work in Ireland/Europe on commencement of employment.
• All offers will require a Police Certificate of Good Conduct and previous references.
