About the role

With a strong focus on operational excellence, innovation and continuous improvement, they are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their experienced production engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity to support manufacturing operations, improve production processes and drive engineering improvements within a world-class assembly environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing processes, equipment improvements and production engineering activities. Working closely with operations, quality and engineering teams, you will drive efficiency, reliability and continuous improvement across the facility.
Leading manufacturing process improvement activities across the facility.
Supporting capital equipment projects, including specification, purchasing and implementation.
Ensuring new equipment meets manufacturing, engineering and health & safety requirements.
Providing technical support for production processes, equipment and engineering issues.
Supporting new product introductions and manufacturing launches.
Ensuring products and processes meet required quality and performance standards.
Leading and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Delivering manufacturing process training and supporting team development.
Updating work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Improving manufacturing efficiency through workflow, layout and equipment optimisation.
Supporting equipment maintenance activities, repairs and troubleshooting.
Identifying improvement opportunities and taking ownership of projects through to completion.
Qualifications & Experience
A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing) is desirable, or significant manufacturing engineering experience within an assembly environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly operations and production equipment.
Experience supporting new product introduction and manufacturing improvements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
Experience working with internal and external customers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
Knowledge of CAD software, PLC systems or software diagnostics would be beneficial.
