Field Service Engineer – Commercial Carwash Equipment

The UK's leading supplier of commercial carwash and drive-through vehicle wash equipment is seeking a Field Engineer, Service Engineer, or Electrical Engineer with electrical fault‑finding experience.

Core Requirements

  • Experience as a Service Engineer, Field Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Technician, Electrical improver, Electrician, or Fitter.
  • Ability to use a multi‑meter to locate and trace electrical faults.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Knowledge of 3‑phase systems is an advantage but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and undertake on‑the‑job training.

Job Overview

Based from home with a fully stocked van, you will visit client sites including fuel retailer forecourts and carry out planned maintenance and repair of the company's equipment. You will be trained to fault‑find on motors, switches, hydraulics, pneumatics, cash payment systems, pumps, and other components.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday (45 hours).
  • One weekend per month (Saturday & Sunday).
  • Flexibility on start/finish times to suit you.
  • Paid travel and overtime at 1.5× or 2×.

Salary & Benefits

  • £32,500 rising to £36,500 after probation.
  • Bonus up to £4,800 per annum.
  • Paid travel door to door.
  • Overtime pay.
  • Average earnings £40-46k.
  • Monday to Friday work including one weekend in every four.
