Housing Management and Property Litigation Paralegal

Job Description An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a highly regarded and specialist Housing Management and Property Litigation team in London. /n This is an ideal opportunity for a paralegal looking to develop their career within a large, experienced team, working closely with Solicitors and building their own caseload across a varied range of housing and property litigation matters. /n /n /nThe Opportunity:/n /n /n You'll work with a broad client base including Registered Providers, private landlords, local authorities, developers and other organisations, gaining exposure to a wide range of housing management and property litigation work. /n Your workload is likely to include: /n /n - Possession proceedings relating to rent arrears, breach of tenancy, anti-social behaviour and unauthorised occupiers /n - Injunction proceedings and disrepair claims /n - Claims involving leaseholders, including forfeiture /n - Drafting claim forms, pleadings and witness statements /n - Preparing trial bundles and managing court paperwork /n - Liaising with Courts, Barristers, clients and other fee earners /n - Attending Court to support Barristers and Solicitors /n - Conducting routine County Court advocacy /n - Managing a busy caseload with multiple deadlines /n - Building and developing your own caseload with support from experienced Solicitors /n /n /n /nAbout You:/n /n /n /n - Have a 2:2 degree or above /n - Have strong legal research and drafting skills /n - Ideally have completed the LPC or be studying it part-time /n - Have experience preparing pleadings and witness statements /n - Have excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail /n - Are confident dealing with clients and communicating clearly in plain English /n - Can manage a high-volume workload and work to tight deadlines /n - Are proactive, resilient and able to work with limited supervision /n - Ideally have experience with Registered Providers, private landlords or the County Court, although this isn't essential /n /n /n /nInterested?/n /n /n If you're a Paralegal looking to develop your career within a high-quality Housing and Property Litigation team, with the opportunity to build your own caseload and gain valuable Court experience, we'd love to hear from you. /n For a confidential discussion or to find out more about this opportunity, please get in touch today. /n Sellick Partnership is proud to be an inclusive and accessible recruitment business and we support applications from candidates of all backgrounds and circumstances.
