Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a growing business in Stockport to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their career within finance, working as part of a supportive team in a varied and hands on role. You’ll gain exposure across a broad range of finance activities, working closely with the wider Finance team and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient financial processing. This team have a great culture, and enjoy socials, so someone outgoing would fit in well.  Location: Stockport + Hybrid  Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 DOE + Study Support  Main duties: Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices and credit notes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. Reconciling supplier statements and investigating any discrepancies. Supporting the Finance team with month end and year-end processes, including report preparation. Assisting with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities. Managing the finance inbox and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records across internal systems. Supporting expense reporting and employee reimbursements. Working collaboratively with the wider business to ensure efficient processes and a high level of service. Person specification:  We’re looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and proactive, with a genuine interest in developing their finance career. Previous experience within a finance role or be an Accountancy & Finance graduate with a minimum 2.1 degree. Strong numerical accuracy and excellent attention to detail. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive approach and willingness to get involved across a varied role. Good communication skills and confidence liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
