URGENT CARE STAFF REQUIRED – COMPLEX CARE | CHICHESTER

We are urgently recruiting experienced Complex Care Support Workers / Healthcare Assistants to support an adult client returning home following specialist respiratory rehabilitation.

📍 Location: Chichester, West Sussex
🏠 Setting: Client’s own home
🚨 Package: Urgent discharge
⏰ Shifts: 12-hour days & 12-hour waking nights
👥 2:1 support required for specific care activities

About the Package

The client has Pompe disease, a progressive neuromuscular condition with significant physical and respiratory needs. The successful carers will provide high-quality, person-centred support to enable the client to remain safely and independently at home.

Key Care Requirements

Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

* Non-invasive ventilation (NIV)

* Respiratory care and monitoring

* Assistance with applying/removing an NIV mask

* Prisma 40 NIV device

* Hoist transfers and moving & handling

* Two-carer transfers where required

* Pressure area care

* Sacral wound monitoring in line with the care plan

* Medication administration/support

* Full assistance with eating and drinking

* Personal care and activities of daily living

* Nutrition and hydration

* Positioning and comfort care

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for experienced and reliable care professionals who have:

✅ Complex care experience
✅ Respiratory/NIV experience
✅ Experience with hoists and moving & handling
✅ Medication experience
✅ Pressure area/wound care experience
✅ Experience supporting clients with neurological or neuromuscular conditions
✅ A person-centred approach and strong communication skills
✅ The ability to follow detailed care plans, risk assessments and clinical guidance
✅ A commitment to maintaining dignity, choice and independence

Clinical competencies and package-specific training will be required before undertaking relevant clinical tasks.

Staffing

Day: 1 × Care Worker – 12-hour day shift
Night: 1 × Care Worker – 12-hour waking night shift

Additional 2:1 support is required for specific transfers and personal care activities.
