Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst Location: Southampton, Hampshire Salary/Benefits: £26k - £32k + Training & Benefits Our client is a medium-sized Asbestos specialist outfit, who provide surveying and analytical services to domestic and commercial clients. They are seeking a switched-on and thorough Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their successful team. Applicants must hold the BOHS P401 as a minimum, and will be well-versed in technical guidelines. You must be based within a commutable distance to the laboratory, and will be confident working both within teams and independently. Experience / Qualifications: * Hands-on experience working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst * It is essential to hold the BOHS P401 * Good understanding of UKAS and HSG legislation * Excellent time management skills * Strong literacy and numeracy skills * Proficient using IT software The Role: * Conducting bulk analysis of asbestos samples, through PLM and stereomicroscopy * Logging and storing samples safely * Maintaining laboratory equipment and organising any repairs / servicing * Uploading results onto the company database * Creating and issuing analysis certificates for clients * Participating in quality assurance checks * Working to agreed deadlines and personal targets * Upholding high service standards Alternative job titles: Asbestos Analyst, Asbestos Technician, Asbestos Bulk Analyst.
