About the Role
As part of our Engineering team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality heat pump and heat network installations, while supporting and supervising junior team members.
Key duties include:
- Installing and commissioning domestic and commercial heat pump systems, including plant rooms and energy centres.
- Installing Heat Interface Units (HIUs) and associated heating and hot water systems.
- Carrying out plumbing and pipefitting works for heating, cooling and hot water distribution systems.
- Installing fusion-welded and pre-insulated pipework, insulation and associated system components.
- Undertaking basic electrical works required for heat pump and heating system installations.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with industry regulations, customer requirements and company standards.
- Taking ownership of QA/QC processes, inspections and quality checks to deliver high-quality installations.
- Supporting, mentoring and overseeing junior engineers on site.
About you
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You'll be comfortable working independently when required, while also contributing positively within a team environment and supporting junior engineers.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, Heating Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in plumbing, pipefitting and heating system installations.
- Experience within the renewable energy, construction or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, including flow, pressure and system performance.
- Knowledge of UK regulations and standards relating to hot water and heating systems.
- Experience carrying out inspections, testing and quality assurance activities.
- Ability to diagnose faults and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Experience of heat pumps, district heat networks, plant rooms or energy centres would be advantageous.
