Role Overview

Our Deals Tax team works closely with our Deals practice to advise on the tax implications of all aspects of transactions including Mergers & Acquisition, Business Recovery Services and Real Estate. Part of the wider Corporate Tax network, we collaborate across specialisms to drive value and help our clients succeed at all stages of the deal lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the overall deal architect – making decisions on the content, tone and focus of a report and taking responsibility for successful delivery and management of projects.
• Partner with Partners and Managing Directors to identify opportunities to bring in additional services and proactively manage project risk when leading proposals and kicking off new work.
• Set the standard for coaching on projects; invest time to understand the team’s objectives and prioritise upskilling where appropriate.
• Invest in client relationships and key stakeholder engagement to understand their business concerns and priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience advising on Real Estate projects for key clients or a track record of advising on UK corporate tax.
• Experience leading and coaching others.
• Experience building and leveraging internal and external relationships and networks.
• Developed communication skills, e.g., negotiating with and influencing others.
• Possess an accounting or tax qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience, including international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
