A Leadership Opportunity with a Growing and Modern Law Firm
An established and ambitious law firm in West Sussex is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Residential Property Solicitor to play a key role within its expanding Residential Property team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented conveyancer who enjoys handling quality work, building strong client relationships, and taking an active role in the growth and development of a successful department. The firm is known for its client-focused approach, modern working practices, collaborative culture, and investment in technology.
The Role
You will manage a broad range of residential property matters from instruction through to completion, with a particular focus on higher-value and more complex transactions.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to team development, mentor junior colleagues, strengthen referrer relationships, and help shape the future growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of residential property matters, including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Remortgages
- Transfers of equity
- Lease extensions
- Other residential conveyancing transactions
- Handling complex title issues, restrictive covenants, easements and leasehold matters
- Providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to clients
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, transfer documentation and related property documents
- Conducting and reviewing searches, title investigations and reports
- Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, brokers and other solicitors to ensure smooth transactions
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Assisting with departmental improvements, process development and technology adoption
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and professional referrers
- Participating in networking and business development activities
About You
To be successful, you will ideally possess:
- Significant post-qualification experience in residential property law
- A proven track record managing a varied and complex conveyancing caseload
- Excellent technical knowledge of residential conveyancing and Land Registry requirements
- Strong xwzovoh drafting, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
- Outstanding client care and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues
- A genuine interest in helping drive the success and growth of a residential property team
