This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager looking to develop their career with a respected housebuilder, working alongside experienced Site and Project Managers on a busy residential scheme.

The Role

As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development, helping to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the highest standards of quality.

You will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress and maintaining excellent health and safety standards while gaining valuable experience across all stages of the construction process.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day management of a residential construction site.

Support the Site Manager in delivering the build programme safely, on time and within budget.

Supervise subcontractors and monitor the quality of workmanship.

Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks.

Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are maintained at all times.

Assist with site inductions and toolbox talks.

Coordinate materials, deliveries and site logistics.

Monitor progress against programme and report any issues.

Help manage snagging, defect resolution and handovers.

Build positive working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• 
  
• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman, Finishing Manager or Site Supervisor within residential construction.

Experience working for a residential developer or main contractor on new-build housing projects.

A good understanding of traditional and timber frame construction methods.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Knowledge of current health and safety legislation and site management procedures. xwzovoh

SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid qualification.
