Senior Hybrid Platform Engineer Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote | Warwickshire | 5-Month Contract VIQU is seeking an experienced Senior Hybrid Platform Engineer / Technical Lead to join a major enterprise customer in Warwickshire. The role is focused on a predominantly Azure-based hybrid platform (75% Azure / 25% on-prem), with strong emphasis on platform transformation, automation and production support. We're looking for a technically hands-on engineer who can drive platform transformation, lead infrastructure change, and support business-critical production environments. This role requires strong Azure expertise alongside solid VMware and on-prem infrastructure experience, with Terraform playing a key role in platform automation. Technologies Microsoft Azure Terraform VMware vSphere/ESXi Windows Server Active Directory Entra ID Azure Networking Azure Landing Zones DNS DHCP Group Policy Hybrid Cloud IaC AWS Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of hybrid platform and infrastructure changes. Drive Azure platform modernisation and Landing Zone migration. Manage Azure compute, networking, storage, identity and security services. Maintain Azure/on-prem hybrid connectivity. Support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy. Administer VMware vSphere/ESXi environments. Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Lead troubleshooting, incident resolution and root cause analysis. Work with Architecture, Security and Engineering teams on platform improvements. Maintain technical documentation and platform standards. Essential Experience Strong enterprise Azure experience. Hands-on Azure Networking, Compute, Storage, Entra ID and Security. Strong Terraform/IaC experience. VMware vSphere/ESXi administration. Windows Server and Active Directory expertise. Experience supporting hybrid cloud and business-critical production environments. Strong troubleshooting and technical leadership skills.
