Quantity Surveyor

About the Client Our Client is an established specialist interiors contractor operating across ceilings, partitions, drylining and associated interior packages. The business has a stable team and places strong emphasis on long-term relationships, employee retention and delivering quality projects. This is a key hire for the business, and the successful candidate will be expected to work independently and bring strong technical and commercial knowledge of ceilings and partitions. Roles/Responsibilities Manage the commercial aspects of ceilings, partitions and drylining projects. Prepare, review and manage valuations, variations and other commercial documentation. Monitor project costs and financial performance. Manage subcontractor and client accounts. Identify commercial opportunities, risks and potential areas for cost recovery. Work closely with estimators, project managers and the wider commercial team. Provide commercial input and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Support the successful financial delivery of projects from tender through to completion. Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders. Take ownership of commercial responsibilities across multiple projects or packages.Qualifications Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the interiors, fit-out or specialist subcontracting sector. Strong hands-on experience with ceilings and partitions is essential. Good technical and commercial understanding of drylining and associated interior packages. Experience working for a specialist subcontractor or interiors contractor is highly desirable. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to independently manage projects and accounts. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and commercial packages effectively. Confident communicating with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders. Experienced QS level required; this opportunity is not intended for trainee or junior candidates. Relevant experience in drylining, suspended ceilings, partitions, interior fit-out, specialist interiors or ceilings and walls will be particularly relevant. Quality and relevance of experience are more important than a specific number of years in the industry.Benefits Competitive salary, with the client open to paying according to experience and capability.
