Commercial Property Lawyer / Legal Director - Ready for your next move in commercial property

Spider is advertising on behalf of Ellisons, who are looking for talented commercial property professionals to join their established team. Whether you're a Commercial Property Lawyer with 2-4 years' PQE or an experienced lawyer ready for a Legal Director position, there's an opportunity to make your mark. This is a full-time, permanent role, based in either their Ipswich, Colchester, Bury St Edmunds or Chelmsford office.

About the role

Interesting work, genuine responsibility and room to grow. You'll advise a diverse client base, including investors, developers, landlords, tenants and businesses, on a broad range of commercial property matters.

Your work could include:

• Managing freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
• Drafting and negotiating commercial leases and advising on landlord and tenant matters
• Handling property development, investment and finance transactions
• Building strong client relationships and delivering practical, commercially focused advice
• Identifying business development opportunities and supporting departmental growth
• Collaborating with colleagues across the firm

For more senior candidates, the role will also offer opportunities to lead complex transactions, develop your own practice, mentor colleagues and influence the department's strategic direction.

About you

You'll be a qualified solicitor or suitably qualified lawyer with strong commercial property experience, excellent communication skills and sound commercial judgement.

If you have 2-4 years' PQE, you'll be confident managing your own caseload with appropriate support and keen to develop your expertise.

If you're an established senior lawyer, you'll bring substantial experience, strong client relationships and the ambition to drive business development and help shape the team.

Whatever your level, you'll be proactive, collaborative and committed to delivering excellent client service.
