Position: Kitchen Assistant

Salary: £13.27 per hour

Contract: Temporary (covering long-term sickness absence)

Location: CV5 area, Coventry primary school

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 11:00am to 2:00pm

Company introduction: A welcoming primary school in Coventry is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join its catering team immediately. The school currently has a number of staff supporting the kitchen and has built a strong team bond, so they are looking for a reliable team player who will fit well within the existing team.

Kitchen Assistant duties include:

Serving hot and cold food to pupils and staff
Assisting with food preparation
Loading and unloading the dishwasher
Cleaning kitchen surfaces and work areas
Mopping floors and maintaining cleanliness standards
Following food allergy awareness procedures
Working alongside other team members and supporting daily kitchen operations

Kitchen Assistant person specification:

Good team player with a positive attitude
Able to work in a busy kitchen environment
Awareness of food hygiene and food safety practices
Reliable and able to start immediately
