PowerServer Engineer Location: London Hybrid 60% office 40% remote Duration: 30/11/2026 Rate - £257 MUST BE PAYE THROUGH UMBRELLA Role Description: Job Summary We are seeking an experienced PowerServer Engineer to support audit, investigation, and strategic planning activities related to our existing PowerBuilder/PowerServer applications. The ideal candidate will assess current systems, identify gaps, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization, modernization, or migration. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive audit and assessment of existing PowerServer/PowerBuilder applications Conduct root cause analysis and investigations for performance, stability, and scalability issues Analyze application architecture, deployment setup, and integration workflows Identify technical risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities Prepare detailed assessment reports, findings, and recommendations Collaborate with stakeholders to define modernization or migration strategy Create roadmaps and implementation plans for future upgrades or enhancements Provide guidance on best practices, security, and performance optimization Support decision-making through technical insights and feasibility analysis Required Skills & Qualifications Strong experience with PowerBuilder and PowerServer Proven experience in application auditing, system analysis, or consulting roles Solid understanding of client-server and web-based architectures Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting Knowledge of database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) Ability to analyze legacy systems and recommend modernization approaches Strong documentation and reporting skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities Preferred Skills Experience with application migration (on-prem to cloud or web) Familiarity with Appeon PowerServer Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) Knowledge of security and compliance standards Prior consulting or advisory experience Deliverables Expected System audit report Risk and gap analysis Recommendations for improvement/modernization Strategic roadmap and execution planIf you receive suspicious outreach claiming to be from us, please contact us via the ManpowerGroup website
