About the job Real Estate Finance Associate We are seeking a talented and commercially minded Real Estate Finance Senior Associate/Associate to join a leading real estate and banking practice. The successful candidate will advise a broad range of lenders, borrowers, investors, developers and corporate clients on complex real estate finance transactions across multiple asset classes.This role offers exposure to high-value domestic and cross-border transactions, working alongside experienced partners and senior lawyers in a collaborative and ambitious environment. Key Responsibilities Advising lenders and borrowers on a wide range of real estate finance transactions. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance documents, security documentation and ancillary agreements Supporting acquisition finance, development finance, investment finance and refinancing transactions .Conducting due diligence and coordinating transaction workstreams with colleagues across real estate, corporate and tax teams Managing transaction processes from inception through to completion Liaising directly with clients, financial institutions, agents, surveyors and external counsel Assisting with business development initiatives, client relationship management and thought leadership activities Supervising and mentoring trainees and junior lawyers where appropriate Candidate Profile Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction) Typically 5+ years' post-qualification experience in real estate finance, banking or property finance Strong technical knowledge of finance and security documentation Experience acting on lender and/or borrower-side transactions Excellent drafting, negotiation and project management skills Commercially focused with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving Strong academic background and attention to detail Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a team
