School Business Manager - Permanent Location: Bexleyheath, Kent Salary: £28,000-£35,000 per annum (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Permanent Academics is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school in Bexleyheath for an experienced School Business Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised professional with school-based experience to join a dedicated leadership team and play a vital role in the strategic and operational management of the school. The Role Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the effective management of the school's business operations, ensuring the school runs efficiently and resources are used effectively. Key responsibilities include: Leading the day-to-day management of the school's finances, HR, administration, and premises. Preparing and monitoring budgets, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with statutory and financial regulations. Managing HR processes, including recruitment, staff records, and personnel administration. Developing and maintaining efficient administrative systems and operational procedures. Supporting the strategic planning and continued development of the school. Requirements To be considered for this role, you will need: Previous experience as a School Business Manager or in a similar school-based operational leadership role. Strong knowledge of school finance, HR, safeguarding, and administrative procedures. Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. Availability to start as soon as possible. Why Join Academics?
