We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy goods vehicles to deliver goods efficiently across various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, especially with flatbed loads, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties

Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
Load and unload cargo, ensuring correct securing of loads on flatbeds for safe transit
Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimize time and fuel consumption
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs and vehicle checklists
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with clients and team members

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV Class 1 license (C+E)
Prior delivery driver experience, preferably with flatbed loads or similar cargo types
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transportation laws
Demonstrated ability to handle physically demanding tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo on flatbeds
Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and reliability
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently in a fast-paced environment
