Caretaker

CCS are currently looking for an experienced Caretaker / School Caretaker to join an outstanding primary SEN school. This is a great opportunity for an experienced School Caretaker who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure and well-presented school environment. The Role As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the school site, including both internal and external areas. The School Caretaker will be responsible for: * General maintenance and upkeep of the school buildings and grounds * Ensuring the internal and external areas are safe and well maintained * Carrying out routine health and safety checks * Completing fire safety checks * Completing and monitoring Legionella checks * Identifying and reporting maintenance issues * Supporting contractors and visitors when required * Helping ensure the school site remains safe, secure and operational Hours & Details Hours: Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–1:30pm | Friday, 6:00am–1:00pm Start: ASAP Contract: Long-term / potential permanent opportunity Location: Greater Manchester Requirements The ideal Caretaker / School Caretaker will have: * Previous experience working as a Caretaker, School Caretaker, Site Manager or in a similar role * Good general maintenance and practical skills * Knowledge of health and safety procedures * Experience working within a school or similar environment is desirable * Enhanced DBS * A reliable, proactive and professional approach If you’re an experienced School Caretaker looking for a new opportunity within a supportive SEN school, we’d love to hear from you
