Learning Support Mentor

Learning Support Mentor Location: Wilmslow Contract:Term time only Start Date: ASAP A school is looking for a caring and motivated Learning Support Mentor to work with students who need additional guidance, encouragement, and support. This role is ideal for someone who can build trust, support wellbeing, and help students overcome barriers to learning. You will work closely with pupils, teaching staff, and pastoral teams to promote confidence, engagement, and positive progress both in and out of the classroom. Requirements: Experience working with children or young people. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Calm, supportive, and encouraging approach. Ability to support behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing. Enhanced DBS and references. Key responsibilities: Provide support to students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. Help improve confidence, attendance, and engagement. Support emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour. Build strong relationships with pupils and staff. Help students overcome barriers to learning.
