Senior Corporate Lawyer

LC Legal is delighted to be partnering with a forward thinking, well-established regional firm in Leeds, on the appointment of a Senior Lawyer to lead their Corporate practice.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing and busy team with a strong pipeline of work. The firm’s client base is heavily embedded in the technology sector, offering outstanding exposure to private equity and investment-backed businesses.

The role

You will manage your own caseload and client relationships, advising on high-value and complex matters with a high degree of autonomy. Working within a collaborative environment, you will partner closely with colleagues across the firm to share opportunities, knowledge, and best practice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading a range of corporate transactions including acquisitions, disposals, MBOs, angel and private equity investments and restructurings
• Providing general corporate advisory support, including shareholder agreements, corporate structuring, and governance matters
• Advising on EMI schemes and other equity incentive arrangements
• Building and leading the corporate team
• Managing and developing key client and intermediary relationships
• Driving business development and networking activity

About you

• 7+ years’ PQE
• Strong technical expertise across a broad range of corporate matters
• Proven ability to work autonomously on complex transactions
• Commercially minded, with a track record or appetite for business development
• A collaborative leader, passionate about mentoring and developing others
