Employment Solicitor (Permanent)

3–7 Years’ PQE | Permanent | Full-time

A well-regarded, multi-office South Devon law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its department in Plymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious employment lawyer looking to join an established regional practice, with the longer-term opportunity to develop, grow and potentially lead the department.

The Role

You will handle a varied caseload of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, acting for a mix of Claimant and Respondent clients.

The work will include matters such as:

• Employment Tribunal claims and workplace disputes
• Unfair and wrongful dismissal
• Discrimination matters
• Redundancy and restructuring
• Settlement agreements
• Disciplinary and grievance matters
• Employment contracts, policies and procedures
• General day-to-day employment advice for employers and individuals

The position offers plenty of autonomy alongside the support and resources of an established multi-office firm.

About You

The firm is ideally looking for an Employment Solicitor with around 3–7 years’ PQE and experience advising both employers and employees.

You should be confident handling your own caseload across contentious and advisory employment work, with strong technical knowledge and excellent client-care skills.

Of particular interest will be candidates who are commercially minded and ambitious about their longer-term career, as there is genuine scope for the successful individual to play an increasingly important role in the development of the Employment practice.
