SSE Category 3 Supervisor

Duration: 9 Weeks Initially Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 6:00pm Weekend Rotation: 7:00am to 3:00pm Every Second Saturday & Sunday Overview: We are currently recruiting for an experienced SSE Category 3 Supervisor for a 9-week project based in Inveraray. The role will initially involve remote works before transitioning into live substation works, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong SSE and substation experience. Key Responsibilities: • Supervising site operations in line with SSE procedures and safety standards • Overseeing remote works before progressing into live substation activities • Coordinating site teams and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently • Maintaining compliance with all site documentation and permit systems • Promoting a strong health & safety culture across site operations Requirements: • Valid SSE Category 3 Authorisation • Previous experience working on live substations and HV projects • Strong understanding of SSE safety rules and procedures • Excellent leadership and communication skills • Ability to manage site operations independently and professionally Package Includes: • PAYE rate of £26.80 per hour (excluding holiday pay) • Time and 1/3 paid after 10 hours midweek • Time and 1/2 paid for weekend work • Camp accommodation provided with single-unit bunker bins • £51.97 per night subsistence allowance • Long shifts with consistent hours throughout the project To apply or find out more information please email your fully up-to-date CV or call the office on (phone number removed).
