DB2 Mainframe Administrator

We are looking for an experienced DB2 Mainframe Administrator to support a Large programme, with a key focus on the migration of CA/Broadcom DB2 tooling to IBM.

You will be responsible for the administration, configuration and performance of DB2 on z/OS, supporting upgrades, migrations, backup and recovery, DB2 utilities, troubleshooting and production support.

Key experience:

- Hands-on DB2 on z/OS experience at System Administration/DBA level.
- Experience migrating CA/Broadcom DB2 tools to IBM, ideally CA Fast Check, Fast Index, Fast Load or Fast Recover to the IBM DB2 Utilities Suite.
- Strong knowledge of DB2 utilities including REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, COPY and RECOVER.
- Experience with DB2 performance tuning, storage, backup/recovery and capacity management.
- Strong z/OS, JCL and SDSF knowledge.
- Experience providing L2/L3 support, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Familiarity with SPUFI, QMF and DB2 Admin Tool.
- Experience working within controlled change, release, security and compliance environments.
