Wheel Specialist - Team Leader

We're looking for an experienced Wheel Specialist to maintain, service, and build high-performance bicycle wheels. The ideal candidate will be confident in diagnosing wheel issues and proficient in truing, tensioning, and dishing wheels to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately true and tension bicycle wheels

Build wheels from components (rims, hubs, spokes) as required

Inspect and assess wheel condition, making repair recommendations

Maintain tools and truing stands in top condition

Work closely with other mechanics and customers to ensure optimal wheel performance

Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:

Proven experience truing and building bicycle wheels

Strong understanding of spoke patterns, tension balancing, and rim/hub compatibility

Attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship

Ability to work efficiently and independently

Friendly, approachable attitude - customer service skills a plus

Bonus if you have:

Experience with carbon wheel repair or high-end wheelsets

Knowledge of wheel brands like DT Swiss, Mavic, Zipp, etc.

Certification from a bicycle mechanic training program (e.g., Barnett, UBI, Cytech)

All shifts are 9am - 5pm and the below shift patterns are available.
Thursday - Monday
Friday - Tuesday
Saturday - Wednesday
Wednesday - Sunday
Pay :
From £15
Paid weekly
